Introduction: A Brief Introduction of 2008 Solar Eclipse The 2008 solar total eclipse starts from North of Canada, passes through Greenland, Arctic, Novosibirsk and North of China. This is the first solar total eclipse in China in the 21st centary.

Eclipse Sites

      Dazhuangzi,Jiuquan.There is a road with two way (Jiuquan-Jinta) from Jiuquan to northeast. The first town is Jinta county (40 km) with 5 hotels. After diving to another 50 km from Jinta, we arrived at Dazhuangzi Xiang. North to the Dazhuangzi, there is a Beacon Tower in Choushuidun, a protected cultural relic of Jinta County. The ground west to the road is open with trees. There is a village named Wudui located about 4-5 km north to the Beacon Tower. The ground west to Wuduixi is more open.

     Jiayuguan, which is located in the northwest of Gansu Province, is a very beautiful place in the northwest of China. It is the western terminal of the Great Wall and has a long history. Thanks to the "Google Earth" and we can use it to get the accurite position of Jiayuguan.

     Transports:

     For the foreign friends or the Taiwan friends, you have three ways to arrive Jiayuguan:

     1. You can get to the international airport of Beijing and transfer the train, it will spend about 30 hours between Beijing and Jiayuguan.
